We will suffer

when we desire to live
godly in Christ

as evil men
grow worse and worse

God’s word will make
us wise.

I can endure persecution, for You are with me.

“Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.”

“But evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.”

“But you must continue in the things whcih you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,”

“and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith whcih is in Christ Jesus.”

2 Timothy 3:12,13,14,15. NKJV

Good Wise

“For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil.” Romans 16:19

I have seen the evil planned for me not come about as I continued to do what God asked me to do.

Lord, we ask for the wisdom to know what is truly good in Your eyes and how to go about it today. Please deliver us from evil and the temptation to be wise concerning it. And here’s a simple poem . . .

What Is Good

There is a wisdom
in knowing
what is good
and then setting
ourselves to it
without planning evil
for the evil
that threatens.
