Straight Paths

 

Oh strengthen
my weak knees

and my hands
that hang down

as I make a straight
path to You

where my healing’s
always found.

I Am Weak Today

“Then the king said to his servants, ‘Do you not know that a prince and a great man has fallen this day in Israel’?”  2 Samuel 3:38
“And I  am weak today, though anointed king; and these men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too harsh for me.”  2 Samuel 3:39

David’s confession of weakness didn’t lessen his position as king.

Lord, this world is too harsh for us.  Thank You for being our strength and our joy.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

A Shelter

This world is too harsh for me
and today I am too weak
to deal with all the violence
and rebellion I see
so I’ll take shelter
and do what I know
agreeing with Your word
because You say it’s so.
