Washed With Water

As Aaron and
his sons

went to Moses
to be cleaned

so we come
before our Jesus

to be washed
and redeemed.

**********

Lord Jesus, thank You for washing away my sins and making a way for me to be clean.

**********

“Moses said to the congregation, ‘This is what the LORD commanded us to do.’ “

“Then Moses brought Aaron and his sons and washed them with water.”

The Lord Who Heals You

I am the Lord who
heals you

I am the Lord
who redeems

in mercy I will
lead you

to My waters
ever sweet.

**********

The One who heals is with me.

**********

“You in Your mercy have led forth the people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength to Your holy habitation.”

“So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them,”

“and said, ‘If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”

Exodus 15:13,25,26 NKJV

Wherever The River Goes

Deep
and deeper still
water from
the temple flows

taking healing
and true life
wherever
it goes.

You establish the flow of healing and life.

“And he brought me back to the door of the temple; and there was water, flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the front of the temple faced east; the water was flowing from under the right side of the temple, south of the altar. And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes.” Ezekiel 47:1,9

Baptized

I have baptized you
in water

washing away
your sins

and immersed you in
My Spirit

placing Holy fire
within.

You establish Your Spirit within me.

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Matthew 3:11 NKJV

Give Me This Water

“Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,
but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.  But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
The woman answered and said, ‘Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw,'”  John 4:13-15  NKJV

Life without Jesus leaves us so dry and drained.

Thank You, Lord, for being the One we can draw from endlessly.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Come and drink
all who are thirsty

and weary of
trips to the well

for all our lives
we have labored

now we can ask
and be filled.

God bless you as you draw from Him today!

Loosed And Led Away

“Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or his donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it?”  Luke 13:15 NKJV

“So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound – think of it – for eighteen years , be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?”  Luke 13:16 NKJV

Sometimes we need help getting out of our stalls.

Thank You, Lord, for loosing us and leading us away to Yourself, our Living Water.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Bound for twenty-
seven years

to drugs, alcohol
lies and fears

until I was loosed
and led away

to glorify God
the rest of my days.

God bless you as you are led away by Him today!

Tempting God

“”Go on before the people . . .Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it that the people may drink.”  Exodus 17:5-6

“So he called the name of the place Massah (tempted) and Meribah (contention) because of the contention of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying ‘Is the Lord among us or not?'”  Exodus 17:7

Not long after I accepted Jesus as my Savior, I shared with someone how He’d taken away my desire for drugs and alcohol.  That person told me God would have to strike them with lightning in order for them to quit. !  It took everything in me to keep from high-tailing it away from them in case God did just that.  Now I know that God has chosen to send me on to live out my life in Christ before this person.

Thank You, Jesus, for Your patience with me even when I tempt You to lose it.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Before Us

When life becomes
more difficult
may I not forget
what You have done,
making a way
before me
by sending Jesus
Your only Son.

Murmur Healing

“And then He tested them and said, ‘If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight . . .I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians.  For I am the Lord who heals you.'”  Exodus  15:26

The people had traveled 3 days without finding water.  When they did find water, it was undrinkable.  They couldn’t seem to help but murmur against Moses.  God shows Moses a certain tree that once put in the water, will make it sweet to drink.  But, will it make the drinkers any sweeter?

O Lord, please heal my bitter heart murmurings and turn them into sweet offerings of trust and praise.  Here’s a simple poem . . .

Any Questions?

Testing will surely come
with the dawning of each day,
and how will I respond
will I throw up my hands and say,

“this is too hard for me”
shut down and turn away,
or let You be the answer
to my every need, and stay.
