Rest Your Hope

Let’s rest our hope
upon the grace

brought to us
by Christ

being obedient
and not conforming

to former lusts
and vice.

**********

“Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ,”

“as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance, . . .”

1 Peter 1:13,14 NKJV

Genuineness Of Faith

We greatly rejoice
in all that still

waits ahead
for us

even while now
we’re grieved by trials

our faith glorifies
Jesus.

**********

“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,”

“that the genuineness of your faith, being made more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,”

“whom having not seen you love.”

1 Peter 1:6,7,8. NKJV

Precious Blood

We’ve not been redeemed
with corruptible things

like silver or
like gold

but with the precious
blood of Jesus

our Lamb without blemish
to behold.

**********

“. . . conduct yourselves throughout the time of your sojourning here in fear;”

“knowing you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or like gold, from your aimless conduct received from your fathers,”

“but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

Incorruptible

Our inheritance is incorruptible
undefiled

and does not fade
away

reserved for us
in heaven

by the power of God
who saves.

**********

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”

“to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heave for you,”

“who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”

Rain In It’s Season

You’ll receive rain
in its season

as you lovingly
reverence Me

having bread to eat
and peace to hold

with you I’ll
always be.

**********

Lord, I desire to lovingly obey and live in awe of You each day.

**********

“You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the LORD.”

“If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them,”

“then I will give you rain in its season. . .”

“You shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.”

“I will give you peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid.”

“I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.”

Leviticus 26:2,3,4,5,6,12. NKJV

Released

We’ve been redeemed
as if it’s

the Year of
Jubilee

released
from our debts

restored
to our King.

**********

“And if he is not redeemed in these years, then he shall be released in the Year of Jubilee – he and his children with him.”

“For the children of Israel are servants to Me; they are My servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.”

Leviticus 25:54,55 NJKV

(Interesting to note: “The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is MINE; for you are strangers and sojourners with Me.” Leviticus 25:23)

Burn

Let us burn
continually

as lamps before
the Lord

pressed down
and overflowing

with His anointed
oil.

**********

Lord, I long for Your Holy Spirit fire to burn continually in me.

**********

“Command the children of Israel to bring to you clear oil from beaten olives for the light [of the golden lampstand ], to make a lamp burn continually.”

“He shall keep the lamps burning in the pure gold lampstand before the LORD continually. [Rev. 1:12-18] “

Rejoice Before The Lord

Celebrate with Me
the times you’ve been

willing and glad
to be moved

still keeping now
your hearts a-ready

in your own spiritual
booths.

**********

Lord, I celebrate how You move me step by step into what’s next and lies ahead.

**********

“And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days.”

“You shall keep it as a feast to the LORD for seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations. You shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

“You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths,”

“that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.”

To Be Your God

I bring you out of
your Egypt’s

so I can be
your God

to fully
sanctify you

and show you
all My love.

**********

Lord, You are my God. No one else can save me or sanctify me but You.

**********

“You shall not profane My holy name, but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel. I am the LORD who sanctifies you,”

“who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD.”
