Psalm 46 Selah

 

Only when I
stop striving

can I see how
magnificent You are

how present You
are with me

no need to fear
at all.

I can pause and be still in the midst of my circumstances, for You are with me.

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”

With every obstacle
and challenge

you can praise Me
and give thanks

assured of My
great love for you

that saves and won’t
turn back.

You Are Good

 

Oh Lord You are good
and great in power

guiding my feet in the way
they should go

and in the day of
pain and trouble

You are my faithful
stronghold.

God’s Ear

 

In your day
of trouble
call to Me
and I will hear

your voice
and supplication
I’m with you
always near.

A laid down life has God’s ear.

“I love the LORD,  because He has heard my voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.” Psalm 116:1-2 NKJV

Revive

 

new landscaping
someone else’s job
to water

Thankful for the neighbor hired to help.

“You who have shown me great and severe troubles, shall revive me again. You shall increase my greatness and comfort me on every side. I will go in the strength of the Lord God.” Psalm 71:16,20, 21. NKJV.

 

I will revive you
again and again
and comfort you
on every side

And when your strength
fails you
My strength I will
provide.

Troubled

heavy

with beetles

 

These beetles seem very determined.

“And do not hide Your face from Your servant, for I am in trouble. Draw near to my soul and redeem it; deliver me because of my enemies. Reproach has broken my heart , and I am full of heaviness.  Let Your salvation , O God, set me up on high.”  Psalm 69:17,18,20,29 NKJV

Though you are troubled

I am near you

redemption and deliverance

are mine

for I comfort

the broken hearted

My salvation sets you

on high.

 

That Which Concerns Me

“Though I walk in the midst of
trouble, You will revive me.
You will stretch out Your hand . . .
and Your right hand will save me.
The LORD will perfect that which
concerns me . . .”  Psalm 138:7-8

I have this habit of reading of someone else’s problems and then adopting them as my own.

Lord, thank You for knowing all of my issues and exactly how to address them.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

I Will See To It

Out Of Trouble

“I will freely sacrifice to You;
I will praise Your name, O LORD, for it is good.
For He has delivered me out of all trouble . . .”  Psalms 54:6-7

A line from the movies comes to mind . . .”Are you looking for trouble?”

Lord, we desire to seek You and Your ways as You deliver us from trouble.  And here is a simple poem . . .

Troubleshooting

and troubles go

and we don’t want
to see them grow

so we stay close
to You and pray

giving You  our thoughts
our lives, our ways.

Trouble Comes

“I am not at ease, nor am I quiet; I have no rest, for trouble comes.”  Job 3:26

This verse comes at the end of the chapter, where Job cursed the day he was born.

Lord, we are so thankful that we can cry out to You when trouble comes.  And here is a simple poem . . .

Un-Easy
