Distracting?

Serving isn’t
a distraction

a worrisome thing
to do

but springs forth
from devotion

and My time
spent with you.

You establish my serving through devotion.

“But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, ‘Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.’ And Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things’ “. Luke 10:40,41 NKJV

Days Completed

It was there
in Bethlehem
the time to deliver
came

and though there appeared
to be no room
He came
just the same.

A laid down life’s time will come.

“So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” Luke 2:6,7 NKJV

One on One

“And Jesus said to him . . .”  Matthew 8:4

There were times when Jesus spoke to a multitude of people, or to a group of followers.  But there were also times when He spoke into an individual’s life, addressing a specific need.

Lord, we thank You for still taking the time today to speak to us as we come to You.  Here’s a simple poem . . .

Personal Time

Famous people get so busy
they are in high demand
we can pay thousands for a seminar
but never afford to speak to them man to man.

But there is One who has the time
who isn’t beyond our reach
loving to sit down and talk with us
giving the answers that we seek.

Gaining More Time

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life. . .”  Matthew 6:24

Not worrying about my life would definitely free up more time for me . . .to spend with Jesus.

Jesus, thank You for always covering me, keeping me and feeding me each day as I come to You.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Fed and Covered

If birds don’t worry about what to eat
then really why should I?
And all nature’s dressed so great
without wondering what to buy.

Assured You love me as much as this
and then again even more,
I can let go of these concerns
spending more time at heaven’s door.
