Lifting Up The Standard

 

When the enemy comes in
like a flood
to kill, maim
and destroy

I will lift the standard
against him
and all the tactics
he employs.

My standard is established by You.

“So they shall fear the name of the LORD from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him. ” Isaiah 59:19 NKJV

Scripture Fulfilled

 

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor.
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To preach deliverance to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed,
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Isaiah 61:1-2)  Luke 4:18-19  NKJV

“And He began to say to them, ‘Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.’ ”  Luke 4:21  NKJV

Jesus is still the fulfillment of scripture and our everything.

Thank You, Lord, for preaching and being the gospel to us.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

among you

to fulfill
your every need

receive Me now
and have life

and that
abundantly.
