Our Great King

“. . . ‘For I am a great King,’
says the LORD of hosts,
‘and My name is to be feared among the nations.'”  Malachi 1:14 NKJV

What a privilege it is to love and honor God.

Thank You, Lord, for giving us opportunities to glorify You today.  And here is a simple poem . . .

He is our great King
our LORD of hosts

Whose name is awesome
among the nations

and we offer Him
our very best

praise and worship in
each situation.

God bless you as you honor and serve Him today!

It Shall Come To Pass

“And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, The LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.”  Zechariah 14:16 NJKV

I understand why people often read the end of a book first.

Thank You, Lord, for telling us the whole story, so we can be prepared, can persevere, and praise You always. And here’s a simple poem . . .

It shall come to pass

that everyone left

will go up

to worship the King

for He is worthy

and wonderful

the Lord of hosts

and everything.

God bless you as you worship Him now.

In Ruins

“You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the LORD of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins,  while every one of you runs to his own house.”  Haggai 1:9

Sometimes it seems counter productive to run to God and spend my time with Him.

Thank You, Lord, for the beautiful way You are with us and work in our lives as we come to You and put You first.  And here’s a simple poem. . .

I can run to my own house
to my friends and family

build upon those relationships
and all I feel and see

nothing really wrong with that
but there will remain a drought in me

until I come to You and put You first
worshiping and glorifying Thee.

God bless you as you run to Him today!
