When The Helper Comes

 

You have sent to us
the Helper

which is the Spirit
of truth

and comes from
the Father

testifying to us
of You.

You establish the Holy Spirit for us.

“But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.’ John 15:26 NKJV

Testify

 

 

Come to Me
believing
and ready to
testify

of all the wonders
I have done
and daily do
in your life.

A laid down life tells the next generation of God’s wonders.

“We will not hide them from their children, telling to the next generations to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done. For He established a testimony in Jacob. . . .that they may set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God.” Psalm 78:4,5,7 NKJV

Remember

 

 

In your anguish
remember
My wonders
and My works

talk of My deeds
and soon see
your despair
forsook.

A laid down life remembers God’s wonders and works.

“And I said, ‘This is my anguish; but I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.’ I will remember the works of the Lord, surely I will remember Your wonders of old. I will also meditate on all Your work, and talk of Your deeds.” Psalm 77:10-12 NKJV

Of Good Cheer

“But the following night the Lord stood by him and said, ‘Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome.’ ”  Acts 23:11 NKJV

Paul had been brought into the barracks and detained.

Thank You, Lord, for being with us and helping us see our circumstances differently.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

I am
with you

so be of
good cheer

for you will
bear witness

so others
can hear.
