Submit to God
surrender

each
and everything

so you can
resist the devil

and send him
scampering.

Oh Lord may I
surrender

completely and fully
to You

for You are perfect
in all Your ways

trustworthy
through and through.

You are with me and I surrender to Your Holiness and Sovereignty in my life.

Surrendering

 

Surrendering
to Me

to My will, My words
My ways

brings you
new life

and hope for all
your days.

You establish my surrender.

“If you surely surrender to the king of Babylon’s princes, then your soul shall live; this city shall not be burned with fire, and you and your house shall live. Please, obey the voice of the LORD which I speak to you. So it shall be well with you, and your soul shall live.” Jeremiah 38:17,20 NKJV

Change

“Because they do not change
therefore they do not fear God.”  Psalms 55:19

Change and fear often go together.

Lord, please change me today and tomorrow and then again, and more and more.   And here’s a simple poem . . .

to change

He is longing
to get started

won’t we surrender
now to Christ?

Taken Away

“So he said, ‘You have taken away my gods which I made, and the priest, and you have gone away. Now what more do I have? How can you say to me, ‘What ails you’?” Judges 18:24

At the end of Chapter 17, Micah was sure that God would be good to him now. And so He was.

Lord, please help me to surrender anything in my life that I am worshiping more than You, before it has to be taken away. But either way, I want it to go. And here’s a simple poem . . .

What More Do I Have?

I see what I have is good
and it certainly may be
but am I thinking more of it
than I am of Thee?

I give it back to You, oh Lord
before I set it on a throne
and rejoice in the blessing
of worshiping You alone.
