Longsuffering With Joy

 

O Lord, we pray to be filled
with the knowledge of Your will

walking closer and closer
with You

strengthened with all might
by Your glorious light

joyous in what
we go through.

You are with me for all longsuffering with joy.

“For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;”

“that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;”

“strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy . . .”

Colossians 1:9,10,11 NKJV

Strengthened

 

It is Jesus
Who strengthens us

so we can do
all things

being content
in whatever state

and season that
life brings.

You are with me and strengthen me.

“Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content . . .”

“I can do ll things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Philippians 4:11,13 NKJV

Greatly Beloved

 

You are greatly
beloved

and can stand
without fear

for I will strengthen you
and give you peace

your prayers I
always hear.

You establish my peace and strength in difficult situations.

“And he said to me, ‘O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have been sent to you.’ Then he said to me, ‘Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard . . .Then again, the one having the likeness of a man touched me and strengthened me. And he said, ‘O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you ; be strong, yes, be strong.’ So when he spoke to me I was strengthened . . .” Daniel 10:11,12,18,19 NKJV

All The Fullness

“. . .that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,

that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height –

to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”  Ephesians  3:16-19

What a prayer Paul left for us to pray for one another and ourselves!

Thank You, Lord, for being and doing  more than we could ever imagine.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Through His Spirit

You are incomprehensible
yet still find a way

to make Yourself known to us
each and everyday

loving to inhabit
our worship and praise

strengthening us by Your Spirit
as we come to You and pray.

Strengthened In God

“So David saw that Saul had come out to seek his life.  And David was in the wilderness of Ziph in a forest.”  1 Samuel 23:15
“Then Jonathan, Saul’s son, arose and went to David in the woods and strengthened his hand in God.”  1 Samuel 23:16

Wilderness times can make us feel vulnerable.

Lord, thank You for showing us David’s time in the wilderness and how You were still with him.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Sending Strength

Feeling a little shaky
out in the wilderness

small and bewildered
sort of valueless

then You send someone in Christ
to strengthen our hands

to remind us that You are near
and You understand.

Strength To Worship

“And it happened on the same night that the Lord said to him, ‘Arise, go down against the camp, for I have delivered it into your hand’.” Judges 7:9
“But if you are afraid to go down, go down to the camp with Purah your servant” Judges 7:10
“and you shall hear what they say; and afterward your hands shall be strengthened to go down against the camp.” Judges 7:11
“And so it was when Gideon heard . . .that he worshiped.” Judges 7:15

Worshiping God strengthens us and strengthened in Him, we worship.

Lord, we thank You for always knowing when we need an extra dose of assurance that You really are all You say You are, and will do all You say You will do. And here’s a simple poem . . .

If You Are Afraid

But if you are afraid
I will not condemn you
but show Myself strong
to you once again

so Your hand is strengthened
and Your heart can worship
knowing I am with you
forever without end.
