A Sure Anchor

We have a certain hope
of salvation

a sure anchor
for our soul

that takes us
behind the veil

where our sweet Jesus
goes.

**********

My soul has an anchor for You are with me.

**********

“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,”

“where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”

Hebrews 6:19,20. NKJV

Stand In The Way

Come stand here
with Me

and be guided unto
the old paths

where the good
good way is

so your soul can rest
and laugh.

You establish my paths.

“Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls.” Jeremiah 6:16 NKJV

Soul Care

I am your portion
and refuge forever
though you’ve been brought low
I will care for your soul

delivering you out from
unjust persecution
surrounding you with gladness
My bounty will flow.

A laid down life has a cared for soul.

“I declare before Him my trouble. For there is no one who acknowledges me; refuge has failed me; no one cares for my soul. I cried out to You, O LORD; I said, ‘You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.’ Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low; deliver me from my persecutors. Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise Your name; the righteous shall surround me, for You shall deal bountifully with me.” Psalm 142:2,4,5,6,7. NKJV

Received

“But God will redeem my soul from
the power of the grave,
For He shall receive me.”  Psalms 49:15

Death of life as we know it, is inevitable.

Lord, we thank You for receiving us when we come to You.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Into Glory

Oh my soul                                                                    wedding-invitation-rsvp-e1283818765131
is set free

the grave has no
power over me

for it is Jesus
in Whom I believe

and into His glory
I am received.

Atonement

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.” Leviticus 17:11

This chapter in Leviticus is dedicated to the sanctity of the blood. The letting of blood was to be taken seriously and always brought before God.

Thank You, Jesus, for our atoned lives are made possible by Your blood. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Life In The Blood

Would I obtain a means
and keep it all to myself
not offering it to You, Lord
or anyone else,
when my life is so tied to
the blood that You spilled
on the altar of Your cross
my sin’s atonement, fulfilled.

(Really, the scripture for this one was so meaningful that I think it could’ve / should’ve stood on its own! Has a verse or portion of scripture held a strong specific meaning for you lately?)
