Seeing, Hearing, Knowing

 

I see
your oppression

and I hear
your cries

thus I know
your sorrows

and that your deliverance
is nigh.

Satiated

 

The abundance of
My love

will satiate
your soul

satisfying you with
My goodness

and a hope
you can own.

You establish and satiate my soul.

” ‘ I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance, and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness,’ says the LORD. ‘There is hope in your future,’ says the LORD, ‘that your children shall come back to their own border. For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.’ “‘ Jeremiah 31:14,17,25 NKJV

Grief and Sorrow

 

Do not seek wisdom
just to be wise
or knowledge
to be smart

but let Me guide you
in all these things
adding understanding
to your heart.

A laid down life is not lived in vain

“For in much wisdom is much grief, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.” Ecclesiates 1:18 NKJV

Your Joy

“Most assuredly I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.”  John 16:20 NKJV

“Therefore now you have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one can take from you.”  John 16:23 NKJV

“Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”  John 16:24 NKJV

Only Jesus can bring us joy like this.

Thank You, Lord, for a joy that can’t be taken from us.  And here’s asimple poem . . .

You will see Me
know Me

touch
My face

that your joy
may be full

and never
replaced.

Godly Sorrow

“Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance.  for you were made sorry in a godly manner that you might suffer loss from us in nothing.” 2 Corinthians 7:9

“For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, not to be regretted but the sorrow of the world produces death.”  2 Corinthians 7:10

I tend to not want anyone to feel sad or sorrowful, but God sees it differently.

Thank You, Lord, for using even our sorrow to draw us closer to You.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Even This

If I never know sorrow
or see my own sin
then I won’t repent
and turn away from it to Him.

While I love moments of happiness
and deep abiding joy too
truly sadness has its place
when it brings me back to You.
