Wilderness Of Comfort

I shall take from your mouth
names from the past

you shall remember them
no more

bringing you into
the wilderness for comfort

giving you hope’s song
as a door.

**********

You are with me in the wilderness to comfort me and give me hope.

*********

“Therefore, behold, I will allure her,
Will bring her into the wilderness,
And speak comfort to her.”

“I will give her her vineyards from there,
And the Valley of A’chor as a door of hope;
She shall sing there,
As in the days of her youth . . .”

“For I will take from her mouth the names of the Ba’als,
And they shall be remembered by their name no more.”

Hosea 2:14,15,17. NKJV

(My “word” for this coming year is “God with me”.  I started a day early!  🙂 )

The Center

THE LORD IS THERE
shall be the name of
the city from
now on

in the center
of the people
He is their strength
and song.

You establish Yourself as My center.

“The sanctuary of the LORD shall be in the center. All the way around shall be eighteen thousand cubits; and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE LORD IS THERE.” Ezekiel 48:10,35 NKJV

When Weeping

When you weep
and lay down your harp
thinking your song
is gone

know these feelings
will not last
for you’re with Me
where you belong.

A laid down life will yet rise and sing.

“By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept when we remembered Zion. We hung our harps upon the willows in the midst of it. How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a foreign land?” Psalm 137:1,2,4 NKJV

Awaken

I set
the day in motion
I awaken
every dawn

with your prayer
and praises
with your
heartfelt songs.

A laid down life is filled with God’s mercy and truth.

“O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise even with my glory. Awake lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn. For Your mercy is great above the heavens, and Your truth reaches to the clouds.” Psalm 108:1,2,4 NKJV
