The Sacrifice Of Himself

 

By the sacrifice
of Himself

He came
to put away sin

and as we
eagerly wait

He will
appear again.

Merciful and Faithful

 

He had to be made
like His brethren

in order to be
our merciful High Priest

making propitiation
for our sins

suffering temptation
He gives us relief.

At The Door

 

Come to Me
and believe

find love and
acceptance

for at the door
sin awaits

rule over and
reject it.

Psalm 32 Selah

 

I will not keep
my sin from You

but in You I
will hide

confessing all
my wrongs to You

letting forgiveness
inside.

Pure

 

Keep yourself pure
and without prejudice

as you minister to
women and men

not laying on hands
too hastily

nor joining in
others sin.

Freed

 

Jesus was raised
from the dead
by the glory of
the Father

so we can walk
in newness of life
freely
ever after.

My Propitiation

 

We all have sinned
and fallen short

yet You
have made a way

through the blood
of Jesus Christ

by faith
we all have grace.

You are with me and are my propitiation.

Seeing

 

Sin wil lead
you deeper

and farther
away from Me

but My Spirit
will draw you closer

where you are meant
to be.

You establish what I see.

” ‘Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, to make Me go far away from My sanctuary?” Ezekiel 8:6 NKJV

Lay Siege

 

Sin will only
lay siege

and waste
to your soul

turn to Me
be redeemed

set free and
let go.

You establish the difference between a life of sin and a life of salvation.

“Moreover He said to me, ‘Son of man, surely I will cut off the supply of bread in Jerusalem; they shall eat bread by weight and with anxiety, and they shall drink water by measure and with dread, that they may lack bread and water, and be dismayed with one another, and waste away because of their iniquity’.”. Ezekiel 4:16. NKJV

When I Don’t Do Well

 

“If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door.  And it’s desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”  Genesis 4:7 NKJV

It can be very humbling to not do well, but it is not a sin.

Thank You, Lord, for the humbling times and what You show me in them.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

If I do well
I may be accepted

by my peers
and the like.

If I do not do well
I can be rejected

but never by
my Jesus Christ.
