On A Dark Day

I will seek you out
and deliver you

Pfrom all your dark
places

for I feed My flock
and make them lie down

showering blessings upon
their faces.

You establish Yourself as My Good Shepherd.

” ‘I will search for My sheep and seek them out . . .so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day. I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down’, says the Lord GOD. ‘I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick. . .I will make them and all the places around them, My hill, a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there will be showers of blessing.’ ” Ezekiel 34:11,15,16,26 NKJV

Shepherd In Our Midst

I will lead you to fountains
of living water

and wipe away every
tear

no longer will you
hunger or thirst

or have any reason
to fear.

Jesus establishes care for all eternity.

“And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 7:15,16,17 NKJV

Sheep

“And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.”  John 10:4 NKJV

“Then Jesus said to them again, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.’ ” John 10:7 NKJV

“If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”  John 10:9 NKJV

We know His voice and follow HIm.

Thank You, Lord, for laying down Your life for us.  And here’s a simple poem  . . .

We are His sheep
and know His voice

where He leads
we will follow

for our Good Shepherd
is the door

through whcih we go
to the Father.

God bless you as you hear and follow Him today!

“I Am Helped”

“The LORD is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him and I am helped.”  Psalms 28:7

We are a nation and a people that need help.

Oh Lord, I pray for us to trust in You today.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Trust His Help

source – bridegroomofmysoul.blogspot.com

I will not let you
go down to the pit
for I am the Shepherd
Who pulled you from it.

Trust in Me
and you shall be helped
strengthened by My hand
not of yourselves.

I Am The Door

“Most assuredly I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.” John 10:1
“But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.” John 10:2
“Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.” John 10:7

Family, friends and neighbors come to our door, to knock and enter in.

Thank You, Jesus, for coming to us with everything that is good, true and light. And here’s a simple poem . . .

The Shepherd and His Sheep

I am the Good Shepherd
I love My sheep
and tenderly care
for those I keep.

Should anyone climb in
from another way
My sheep won’t listen
to what they say.

Initial Response

“Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation who may go out before them and go in before them, who may lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the Lord may not be like sheep which have no shepherd.” Numbers 27:16-17

This was the initial response from Moses after hearing he wouldn’t be entering the Promised Land with the children of Israel.

Oh Lord, help me think of others before giving an emotional response based solely on my feelings. And here’s a simple poem . . .

First care

Because You really know
it’s more about being “we”
than so many
“me, me, me’s”
please help us
think and act
as a congregation of One
under the Son.

Thank you for all of the beautiful comments and prayerful responses you add here.
