Lay Siege

Sin will only
lay siege

and waste
to your soul

turn to Me
be redeemed

set free and
let go.

You establish the difference between a life of sin and a life of salvation.

“Moreover He said to me, ‘Son of man, surely I will cut off the supply of bread in Jerusalem; they shall eat bread by weight and with anxiety, and they shall drink water by measure and with dread, that they may lack bread and water, and be dismayed with one another, and waste away because of their iniquity’.”. Ezekiel 4:16. NKJV

Liberty

I will
set you free

from the bondage
you have known

to be
at liberty

to live for Me
and grow.

You establish my liberty.

“I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, saying, ‘At the end of seven years let every man set free his Hebrew brother, who has been sold to him; and when he has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you.’ Then you recently turned and did what was right in My sight – every man proclaiming liberty to his neighbor . . .” Jeremiah 34:13,14,15 NKJV

Great Things

“When the LORD brought back the
the captivity of Zion,
we were like those who dream.
Then our mouth was filled with
laughter,
And our tongue with singing.
Then they said among the nations
The LORD has done great things for them.
The LORD has done great things for us,
Where of , we are glad.”   Psalm 126:1-3

Jesus came to set the captives free.

Lord, bring back our captivity that the nations may proclaim You have done great things for us.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

We who were captives
now released by the King

can’t help but laugh
and from our mouth’s sing.

Once led away to where
we weren’t meant to be

now our gladness testifies
“Look what He’s done for me.”

Taking Back The Captives

“Now these are the people of the province who came back from the captivity, of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, had carried away to Babylon.”  Ezra 2:1

Captivity is all some have ever known.

Lord, we praise You for You have come to set the captives free.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Carried Back

Celia being held captive by Aub

Taken away
to a foreign land

lives placed under
the enemy’s command

we cry out
for them to return again

to the Love they were made for
deep in the heart of Him.
