Psalm 47 Selah

 

I clap and shout
and sing

for You are awesome
in all Your ways

my Lord Most High
King of all the earth

help me understand more
Whom I praise.

I can pause and praise You with understanding, for You are with me.

“OH clap your hands, all you people’s! Shout to God with the voice of triumph!”

“For the LORD Most High is awesome;’He is a great King over all the earth.”

“He will choose our inheritance for us, the excellence of Jacob whom He loves.” Selah

“Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to God, sing praises!”

“For God is the King of all the earth;’sing praises with understanding.”

Psalm 46 Selah

 

Only when I
stop striving

can I see how
magnificent You are

how present You
are with me

no need to fear
at all.

I can pause and be still in the midst of my circumstances, for You are with me.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

“Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;”

“though its waters roar and be troubled , though the mountains shake with its swelling.” Selah

“The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.” Selah

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”

Psalm 44 Selah

 

When the unexplainable
happens

and we don’t
understand

help us remember
how great is Your love

that we’re still in
Your hand.

I can pause when bad things happen and remember how much You love me, for You are with me.

“In God we boast all day long, and praise Your name forever.” Selah

“You have given us up like sheep intended for food and have scattered us among the nations.”

“You sell Your people for next to nothing, and are not enriched by selling them.”

“All this has come upon us; but we have not forgotten You, nor have we dealt falsely with Your covenant.”

“Arise for our help, and redeem us for Your mercies’ sake.”

My Hope

 

Help me understand
how frail I am

that I might
count my days

placing all
my hope in You

the Lord my God
who saves.

I can pause and consider where my hope lies, for You are with me.

“LORD, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am.”

“Indeed, You have made my days as handbreaths, and my age is as nothing before You; certainly every man at his best state is but vapor.” Selah

“Surely every man walks about like a shadow; surely they busy themselves in vain; he heaps up riches, and does not know who will gather them.”

“And now, LORD, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.”

Psalm 24 Selah

 

Everything
is Yours, O God

more than I
can see

yet Your hands were pierced
to cleanse mine

and You desire to dwell
in me.

I can pause and consider Your greatness, for You are with me.

With every obstacle
and challenge

you can praise Me
and give thanks

assured of My
great love for you

that saves and won’t

Psalm 3 Selah

 

You, O Lord
are a shield for me

when the enemy
surrounds

lifting my head
and sustaining me

in You
my blessing’s found.

I can pause to evaluate my situation and who You are in it, for You are with me.

**********

“Lord, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me.”

“Many are they who say of me, ‘There is no help for him in God.’ “

“But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.”

“I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me.”

“Salvation belongs to the LORD. Your blessing is upon Your people.” Selah
