Looking and Hearing

Let me hear with my ears
and look with my eyes
fixing my mind
on You

so I can listen
and I can see
all You want
me to.

You establish what I see and hear.

“And the man said to me, ‘Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears, and fix your mind on everything I show you; for you were brought here so that I might show them to you. Declare to the house of Israel everything you see.’ “. Ezekiel 40:4 NKJV

Seeing

Sin wil lead
you deeper

and farther
away from Me

but My Spirit
will draw you closer

where you are meant
to be.

You establish what I see.

” ‘Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, to make Me go far away from My sanctuary?” Ezekiel 8:6 NKJV

Rolled Away

Every stone
will be rolled away

  so that you
can see

I am
who I say I am

so now help others
believe.

You establish my belief.

“And they said among themselves, ‘Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?’ But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away – for it was very large.” Mark 16:3,4 NKJV

Seeing

The glory of men
all around you

will not
forever be

so I will set you
as a watchman

look and point
to Me.

Jesus establishes what I can see.

“For thus has the Lord said to me: ‘Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he sees.’ “. Isaiah 21:6 NKJV

Seeing and Receiving

“Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich.

And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature.

So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way.

And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, ‘Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.’

So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully.” Luke 19:2-6  NKJV

We just have to see Jesus for ourselves.

Thank You, Lord, for seeing all those who are seeking You.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Each time we
seek and see
just who
Jesus is

we cannot but be
filled with joy

and receive Him
endlessly.

God bless you as you see and receive Him today!
