We have an abundance
for every good work

as You make all grace
abound

supplying seed to sow
and bread for food

thanksgiving on our lips
is found.

**********

I am supplied for You are with me.

***********

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, have an abundance for every good work.”

“Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.”

2 Corinthians 9:8,10 NKJV

Precious Seed

I break your yoke
of heaviness

burst your bonds
and set you free

refreshing you with
living water

planting you as
precious seed.

You establish my freedom to follow you .

“They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters and hewn themselves cisterns – broken cisterns than can hold no water. For of old I have broken your yoke and burst your bonds. I had planted you a noble vine, a seed of highest quality.” Jeremiah 2:13,20,21 NKJV

Sowing and Growing

220px-Sa_cumin

“But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced; some thirty fold, some sixty and some a hundred.”  Mark 4:8 NKJV

The seed is always ready to grow and bear fruit.

Thank You, Lord, for preparing hearts to hear and accept Your word.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

The seed
is always good

no matter where
we sow it

for it’s about
the ground

being prepared
to grow it.

God bless His seed in you!

From This Day Forward

Pomegranate_DSW

“Is the seed still in the barn?  As yet the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit.  But from this day forward I will bless you.”  Haggai 2:19

The people had suffered through drought, blight, mildew and hail.

Thank You, Lord, for helping us move forward into Your blessings as we turn to You.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Seems like it’s been
a tough year here

not much planted
not much fruit

oh let me always
turn forward with You, Lord

watching for the blessings
of new beginnings and shoots.

God bless you from this day forward!

Sowers

“Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, ‘Behold, a sower went out to sow.'”  Matthew 13:3

In the parable of the sower and the interpretation Jesus gives to His disciples, He never once faults the sower for where the seed falls.

Oh Jesus, help us to spread Your word as often and as much as we can, not withholding it according  to our judgment of the soil condition of the hearts around us.  Here is a simple poem . . .

Open That Hand

Whatcha gonna do with that seed He brought
gonna hold it tight, with all you’ve got
’til you find the perfect place, just the right spot
where you can make sure it grows, as you think it ought
Oh, whatcha gonna do with that seed He brought?
