Fruit Of Righteousness

 

The fruit of righteousness
is sown in peace

by those who make
peace too

born of His wisdom
pure and gentle

full of mercy
through and through.

Lord, I desire Your righteousness to be sown in me and bear fruit, by the wisdom that only can come from You.

Swift To Hear

 

Oh Lord, may we all
be quick to hear

but not so fast
to speak

and even slower
to show anger

for its Your righteousness
we seek.

Lord, I want to listen much more than I talk, and ask that anger be an emotion that I rarely rise to.

Sharing His Holiness

 

God disciplines us
for our good

so we can share
in His holiness

and while at the time
it seems sad

yet it yields the fruit
of righteousness.

I can share in Your holiness through discipline , for You are with me.

Your Great Reward

 

Abram believed
in the Lord

who told him
not to fear

that He would be
his great reward

his forever
shield.

Ever Righteous

 

He is ever righteous
among us

His ways are
always pure

each day He reveals
His justice to us

His unfailing love
endures.

All You Meek

 

Seek the Lord
all you meek

seek righteousness
and humility

for His justice
shall be upheld

toward those who threaten
arrogantly.

A Light

 

When I fall
by Your grace

Lord help me tuck Your truth
inside of me

as I prepare
for each day

keeping my emotions in check
with Your righteousness

and by faith sending satan’s
barbs away.

Glory In The Lord

 

In Your presence
there can be no glory
of anything of
the flesh

for its You
who give me wisdom
redemption and
righteousness.

Sowing and Reaping

 

You will learn
to seek Me

and I will show
you how

to sow
in righteousness

upon your fallow
ground.
