God has chosen
the poor of this world

to be rich
in faith

making them
heirs of the kingdom

loving Him and filled
with grace.

Lord, I want to be rich in faith and not in the things of this world. Please help me see with impartial eyes.

“Listen my beloved brethren : Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?” James 2:5. NKJV

Let us be rich
in good works

ready to give
willing to share

not trusting in
wealth and money

but in our God
and prayer.

I can be rich in good works for You are with me.

“Command those who are rich in this present age, not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.”

“Let then do good, that they be rich in good works , ready to give, willing to share,”

“storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.”

1 Timothy 6:17,18,19 NKJV

Blessed Be The Lord

“. . . Those who sell them say, ‘Blessed be the LORD, for I am rich,’ and their shepherds do not pity them.”  Zechariah 11:5 NKJV

Chapter 11 was a tough one for me.

Thank You, Lord, for being our Good Shepherd.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Blessed be the Lord

for He is rich

in mercy

and in grace

and may I use

all I have

to bring glory

to His name.

God bless you as you lovingly care for those He calls you to.

It’s Hard

“Assuredly I say to you, that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.”  Matthew 19:23  NKJV

Sometimes I wish I was rich.

Thank You, Lord, for knowing what is best for me.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Jesus knows
what’s best for me

be it wealth
or poverty

that I may seek
and follow Him

for Who He is
not what He gives.

God bless you as you enter the kingdom of heaven according to His plan!

Only With God

“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle then for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.” Mark 10:25

We don’t often think of the disadvantages of being rich.

Thank You, Lord, for knowing just how much to give and what to take away in order for my trust to be in You. And here’s a simple poem . . .

It’s Easier

Being wealthy
– isn’t always the answer
– that we think
– it will be
But being rich
– in what Jesus gives
– can satisfy us
– completely.

No More, No Less

“The rich shall not give more and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when you give an offering to the Lord, to make atonement for yourselves.”  Exodus 30:15

Whether we are millionaires or among the homeless, have lived a “good life” or are in prison, the cost of our atonement is all the same.  And it’s been prepaid by Jesus on the cross at Calvary.

Thank You, Lord, for paying the price for me.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

I am so blessed, Lord
that You have died for me
but there are still others
who don’t know and can’t see
they don’t have to strive their whole life
in order to be free,
You have paid for us all
while nailed upon that tree.
