Your Great Reward

 

Abram believed
in the Lord

who told him
not to fear

that He would be
his great reward

his forever
shield.

Heartily

 

Whatever you do
do with all your heart

as though for Me
and not for men

and you will receive
a heavenly reward

for its truly Me
you’re serving.

Reward

 

We are not waiting
for nothing

for only more pain
and emptiness

for we have a God
who loves us

who always keeps
His promises.

Carried

 

I come with
strength and power

I come with
My reward

to feed My flock
and carry

them close
forevermore.

My reward is established in You.

“Behold, the Lord GOD shall come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him. I Am Coming

 

I have sent My angel
to testify
to the churches
what is true

and behold
I am coming
to reward you
very soon.

Jesus establishes my reward.

“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” Revelation 22:22,16 NKJV

My Rewarder

 

With My great power
I have reigned

and will also
judge the earth

rewarding My saints
and prophets

proclaiming My name
and worth.

Jesus establishes my reward.

“We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty,
The One who is and who was and who is to come,
Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.
. . .And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints,
And those who fear Your name, small and great . . .” Revelation 11:17,18 NKJV

Falling Away

dead weight

 

I looked up but couldn’t see where it had fallen from.

“Surely there is a reward for the righteous; surely He is God who judges in the earth.”  Psalm 58:11 NKJV

I am the Reward                                                                                 and the Rewarder                                                                               of  My                                                                                                 righteous ones

the God who judges                                                                         in the earth                                                                                       so that evil’s                                                                                           undone.

In Secret

“And your Father who sees in secret shall reward you openly.”  Matthew 6:18

Jesus tells us this three times in chapter six.

Thank You, Lord, for freeing me from the strife of working to be recognized and rewarded by men. And here’s a simple poem. . .

May what I do
be a secret
just between
You and me

a sweet surprise
and delight
for only You
to see.

God bless what you do just for His eyes today!

A Great Reward

“And when those came who were hired about the 11th hour they each received a denarius.  But when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more, and they likewise received each a denarius.”  Matthew 20:9-10

I have many loved ones I long to see receive the same reward as I will, even if they wait until the 11th hour.

Thank You, Jesus, that we don’t receive our reward by the length of our work, but by the depth of Your grace.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Not Our Job

Our reward
is great
whether we’re
early or late.
It’s no
business of ours
to keep track
of the miles and hours.
