Thus He Did For Them

 

Joseph recognized
his brothers

who had done
him wrong

yet returned their money
in sacks of grain

and with provisions
sent them along.

Prisoners Of Hope

 

You’ll no longer live
chained to fear

but hope’s prisoner you’ll

as I restore double
and lift you up

as My banner of great
beauty.

Wait For Me

 

Wait for Me
until I rise up

for then I will
restore

taking away your
prideful voices

so you can call on Me
in one accord.

Part 2: More Personal Application

Deadheading the little basket of petunias, newly bought, there is more to take.off than blooming. I think about those things You have removed from my life in the last years. How it pinched. How barren and lost I felt without them. Then You say, “Therefore wait for Me.”

No Shame

 

I will restore
what the locusts have eaten

bringing you former
and latter rains

for I am the Lord
God in your midst

and you shall never
be put to shame.

You will restore what has been taken, for You are with me.

“Be glad then, you children of Zion,
And rejoice in the LORD your God;
For He has given you the former rain faithfully,
And He will cause the rain to come down for you-

Remaining Forever

 

I
remain forever

My throne
shall never cease

and I
will not forget you

but renew you
constantly.

You establish Yourself forever in my life.

“You, O LORD, remain forever, Your throne from generation to generation. Turn us back to You, O LORD, and we will be restored; renew our days as of old.” Lamentations 5:19,21 NKJV

Faint of Heart

 

Though you
are troubled

and your heart
is faint

I’ll rescue
and restore

it’s who I am
it’s why I came.

You establish my restoration.

“See, O LORD, that I am in distress; my soul is troubled; my heart is overturned within me, for I have been very rebellious. For my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.” Lamentations 1:20,22 NKJV

A Revived Heart

 

I dwell in the high
and holy places

of your contrite
humble heart

knowing all
of your ways

able to revive
restore, restart.

You establish revival in my heart.

“I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. I have seen his ways, and will heal him;  I will also lead him, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.” Isaiah 57:15,18 NKJV
