and fallen short
yet You
have made a way
through the blood
of Jesus Christ
by faith
we all have grace.

When the earth is in
full distress
and the signs are
very clear
look up, yes
lift up your head
for your redemption is
drawing near.
You establish my redemption.
“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Luke 21:28 NKJV
My dear child
you do not need
to worry
fret or stew
like the world which looks
to useless things
you have Me
Holy and True.
My redemption is established in You.
“As for our Redeemer, the LORD of hosts is His name, the Holy One of Israel. ” Isaiah 47:4 NKJV
When I’m looking for
redemption
when I need
to be restored
I need look no
further than
Jesus Christ
my Lord.
A laid down life has a Redeemer.
“And coming in that instant she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem. ” Luke 2:38 NKJV
Wait for Me
oh let your soul wait
and in My word
do hope
for with Me is mercy
and forgiveness
from which
redemption flows.
A laid down life has hope.
“But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope. O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is abundant redemption.” Psalm 130:4,5,7 NKJV
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace . . .” Ephesians 1:7
I’ve seen shows where contestants have come back hoping to redeem themselves. It doesn’t always work out for them.
Lord, thank You for a grace so deeply rich that it went to the cross and back to redeem us. And here’s a simple poem . . .
Rich Grace
In Him we have redemption
in Him we have grace
the forgiveness of sins
a forever resting place
adopted to Himself
according to His good will
accepted as beloved
with a Holy Spirit seal.
“And Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans because they suffered such things?'” Luke 13:2
“I tell you no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3
I thought I was too messed up, too far gone, too bad. But Jesus said, “No”.
Thank You, Lord, for the hope and joy of salvation and redemption when we turn away from our sins and call on You. And here’s a simple poem . . .
None Worse
Fingers point
surely we’re the worse
our conscience sears
we hurt because we hurt
but Jesus stands ready
to say “No” to all the pain
as soon as we are willing
to believe upon His name.
