Covenant

Remember daily
My wonderous works
how I saved
and redeemed you

to tell others
all I have done
and of My covenant
with you.

A laid down life is in a covenant relationship with God.

“Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; talk of all His wonderous works. Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore. Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgements of His mouth. He has remembered His covenant forever.” Psalm 105:2,4,5,8

“How Have I Wearied You?”

“Oh My people, what have I done to you?
And how have I wearied you?
Testify against Me.”  Micah 6:3

“For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt,
I redeemed you from the house of bondage;
And I sent before you Moses, Aaron and Miriam.”  Micah 6:4 NKJV

If I feel weary, it’s time to turn to God.

Thank You, Lord, for delivering me out of wearisome places and giving me rest.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

If I’m
feeling weary
and the opposite
of blessed

let me turn
to You, Lord
for deliverance
and rest.

God bless you and give you rest!

Received

“But God will redeem my soul from
the power of the grave,
For He shall receive me.”  Psalms 49:15

Death of life as we know it, is inevitable.

Lord, we thank You for receiving us when we come to You.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Into Glory

Oh my soul                                                                    wedding-invitation-rsvp-e1283818765131
is set free

the grave has no
power over me

for it is Jesus
in Whom I believe

and into His glory
I am received.

The Pits

“He will redeem his soul from going down to the Pit,
And his life shall see the light.”  Job
33:28

Pits are much easier to get into than out of.

Thank You, Jesus, for rescuing and redeeming me from where I had fallen, so I can stand within Your glorious light.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Search and Rescue

I dug my own pit
and jumped right in

source – randomwire.com

where it was so dark
I couldn’t see Him

but oh that Jesus
He came after me

pulling me from the depths
into His Life eternally.

Bought Back

“And Boaz said to the elders and to all the people, ‘You are witnesses this day that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, from the hand of Naomi’.” Ruth 4:9

“Moreover, Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, I have acquired as my wife, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brethren and from the gate of his place. You are witnesses this day.” Ruth 4:10

When I was dead in my sins and about to be cut off forever, Jesus my Redeemer bought me back.

Father, thank You for the resurrection of Your Son Jesus, by whom we’ve been given a holy inheritance. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Back To Life

We are now witnesses
of what has been wrought

souls saved, lives changed
a Redeemer has brought

what was once dying
back to vivid life

what satan hoped to cut off
is now growing in Christ.

Found Slain

“If anyone is found slain, lying in the field in the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess, and it is not known who killed him . . .” Deuteronomy 21:1
“‘Provide atonement, O Lord, for Your people Israel, whom You have redeemed and do not lay innocent blood to the charge of Your people Israel.’ And atonement shall be provided on their behalf for the blood.” Deuteronomy 21:8
“So you shall put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you when you do what is right in the sight of the Lord.” Deuteronomy 21:9

God alone is the Judge of His people Israel, whom He has redeemed and made atonement for.

Thank you Lord, for being the atonement for us all. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Known

A man is found dead
out lying in a field

no one knows what happened
or by whom he was killed

but Jesus has seen it
Jesus has heard

and Jesus has come
to take away the guilt of this world.
