Peaceable

 

Be subject to rulers
obedient

ready for every
good work

speaking evil of no one
peaceable, gentle

showing all the humility
of our Lord.

His Will Be Done

“So when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, ‘The will of the Lord be done.’ ”  Acts 21:24 NKJV

We would not always choose the path God does for ourselves or our loved ones.

Thank You, Lord, for the plans You have for each of us, that will bring glory to Your name.  And here is a simple poem . . .

When I think I know
where something’s headed
and none of it
looks good to me

I remember God’s will
to rejoice and give thanks
to trust Him more
and pray constantly.

Invitations

“Then He said to them, ‘A certain man gave a great supper and invited many,
and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come for all things are now ready.’ ”
But they all with one accord began to make excuses.”  Luke 14:16-18 NKJV

It sounds like the men who made excuses in this parable, accepted the invitation initially.
