A Refiner’s Fire

The Lord we seek
will come to His temple

but who among us
can stand?

Those who’ve been in
His refiner’s fire

purified and washed
by His hand.

**********

I can be refined and purified, for You are with me.

**********

“And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight.”

“But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like launderer’s soap.”

“He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the LORD an offering in righteousness.”

Malachi 3:1,2,3. NKJV

Shining With Brightness

Those whose names are written
shall be delivered

shining with brightness
a heavenly glow

purified, made white
refined with understanding

the wisdom of making
His glory known.

**********

You establish a refining understanding.

“And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book. Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever. Many shall be purified, made white, and refined but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.” Daniel 12:1,3,10 NKJV

Atonement

The altar has
been purified
by My
sacrifice

making you
acceptable
forever
in My sight.

You establish my atonement.

” ‘Seven days they shall make atonement for the altar and purify it, and so consecrate it. When these days are over it shall be, on the eighth day and thereafter, that the priests shall offer your burnt offerings and your peace offerings on the altar; and I will accept you,’ says the Lord God.” Ezekiel 43:26,27 NKJV

Providing Atonement

“For a multitude of the people, many from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, ‘May the good LORD provide atonement for everyone

who prepares his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though he is not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.”  2 Chronicles 30:18-19

Indeed, God did provide atonement  for everyone . . . through Jesus.

Thank You Lord, for cleansing us so we can come to You forever.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Purification

I love You, Lord Jesus

I long to be with You
purified of them
