Merciful and Faithful

 

He had to be made
like His brethren

in order to be
our merciful High Priest

making propitiation
for our sins

suffering temptation
He gives us relief.

My merciful and faithful High Priest is with me.

“Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be made a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.”

“For in that He Himself has suffered being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.”

My Propitiation

 

We all have sinned
and fallen short

yet You
have made a way

through the blood
of Jesus Christ

by faith
we all have grace.

You are with me and are my propitiation.

“. . .for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,”

“whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,”

“to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”
