old pool
taken away
now a waiting place
Letting go of the old is one way to prepare for something new.
“Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.” Psalm 24:7 NKJV

“Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced that God had prepared the people, since the events took place so suddenly.” 2 Chronicles 29:30
It’s really hard to stay prepared for anything . .. by ourselves.
Lord, we thank You for preparing us for all that lies ahead. And here’s a simple poem . . .
A Sudden Rejoicing
The day can start
with me unaware
of all that will happen
that needs covered in prayer
but God’s always working
His Word in me
so I can rejoice
in what happens suddenly.
“David built houses for himself in the City of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched a tent for it.” 1 Chronicles 15:1
Preparing takes time.
Oh Lord, help us take time to prepare our hearts for You today. And here’s a simple poem . . .
Prep Time
We can have a great idea
and want to see it done
but find it involves much more
once we’ve begun
so let us prepare
first with humble hearts
that let You guide us
and bless our efforts.
