Answering Each One

Walk in wisdom
continue in prayer

redeeming the time
with thanksgiving

letting your speech
be seasoned with salt

full of grace and mercy
for living.

**********

You are with me as I speak.

**********

“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving,”

“meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open for us a door for the word , to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, “

“that I might make it manifest, as I ought to speak.”

“Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.”

“Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.”

Colossians 4: 2,3,4,5,6 NKJV

No Compare

The sufferings of
this present time
won’t be worthy
to compare

with the glory
revealed in us
through Jesus, our hope
our prayer.

**********

The glory of You with me far outweighs my sufferings.

**********

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

Romans 8:18 NKJV

He Has Done It

I am not silent
when they accuse
and speak lies
to condemn you

for My mercy says
“you’re already saved”
and all will see
of what you’re made.

A laid down life is safe from condemnation.

“Do not keep silent, O God of my praise! They have spoken against me with a lying tongue. They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, but I give myself to prayer. Help me, O LORD my God! Oh, save me according to Your mercy, that they may know that this is Your hand – that You, Lord, have done it!” Psalm 109:1,2,3,4,26,27 NKJV

Awaken

I set
the day in motion
I awaken
every dawn

with your prayer
and praises
with your
heartfelt songs.

A laid down life is filled with God’s mercy and truth.

“O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise even with my glory. Awake lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn. For Your mercy is great above the heavens, and Your truth reaches to the clouds.” Psalm 108:1,2,4 NKJV

Ready

I am your God
merciful
ready to forgive
and hear

your prayers
and supplications
answering
“I’m near.”

A laid down life’s soul is rejoiced by God.

“You are my God. Rejoice the soul of your servant. For You, Lord, are good and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. In the day of my trouble, I will call upon You, for You will answer me. There is none like You, O Lord, nor are there any works like Your works. For You are great and do wondrous things; You alone are God. “. Psalm 86:2,4,5,7,8,10 NKJV

Overwhelmed

IMG_0320When your heart
is overwhelmed
and you cry out
in prayer

I am the Rock
you are led to
where mercy and truth
are shared.

“When my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”  Psalm 61:2 NKJV

Temptations

“When He came to the place, He said to them, ‘Pray that you may not enter into temptation.’.”  Luke 22:40 NJKV

I’ve been told that it is not a sin to be tempted.

Thank You,  Lord,  for knowing what our temptations would be and teaching us how to pray concerning them.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Take this cup from me
if it be Your will

yet not my will
but Yours be done

that I may not enter
into temptation

but turn away
unto the Son.

God bless you as you turn away from temptation and to Him today!

No Record

“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.”  Mark 11:25 NKJV

Forgiveness is such a big part of our lives.

Thank You, Lord, for healing us and helping us to forgive.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Lord please teach me
to forgive others
the way You
forgive me

so completely
and deeply
that there’s no record
or memory.

God bless you as you forgive someone today!

Breath of Life

“Now when they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them and kill them.”  Revelation 11:7 NKJV

“Now after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.”  Revelation 11:10 NKJV

I’m reminded of the utter shock and devastation the apostles must have felt seeing Jesus nailed to a cross and placed in a tomb.

Thank You, Lord, for breathing life into what appears to have died.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

When it looks
the darkest
and prayer has seemed
to fail

that’s when God says
“Come close to Me
and watch how I
prevail.”

God bless you as He breathes life into what seems hopeless today!

Got Breath?

“Let everything that has breath
praise the LORD.”  Psalm 150:6

It we do this, we’ll never have to worry about wasting our breath.  😀

Lord, let me not waste the breath that You gave me to praise You with.  And here’s a simple poem . . .
