Hold Fast

 

Rejoice always
pray without ceasing

in everything
give thanks

for this is God’s
will for us

unto Him
hold fast.

Surpassing

 

Rejoicie always
let your gentleness show

and don’t worry
as you pray

keep being thankful
and My peace will guard

your mind and heart
each day.

Pray

 

Pray and
do not lose heart

for I hear
your cries

and will answer
in the right way

at just
the right times.

You establish my prayers.

“Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.” Luke 18:1 NKJV

Watch And Pray

 

I have given you
a work to do
as you watch
and pray

for I am coming
back for you
and you’ll see me on
that day.

You establish my watching and praying.

“Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.” Mark 13:33,34 NKJV

I Will Be Found

 

 

Pray and call
upon Me

I’m listening
as you do

for you will seek Me
with your heart

and I’ll gladly be found
by you.

You establish my seeking.

“Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:12,13 NKJV

God With You

“Yes, many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek The Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.”  Zechariah 8:22 NKJV

Israel is indeed His Holy Land.

Thank You, Lord, for determining to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. (Zechariah 8:15). And here’s a simple poem . . .

 

We will say

let’s go and pray

before the Lord

in Jerusalem

 

grasping the sleeves

of Jewish men

because we’ve heard

God’s with them.

What Not To Lose

Some prayers I’ve prayed for twenty-four years now.

Oh Lord, thank You for all the evidence I see of You each day that keeps my prayers coming and my heart thumping. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Always

I awake with a prayer
and a praise on my lips
and as the day progresses
I just can’t seem to quit
for there’s a hope lit within
a faith covering what I see
and nothing can negate it
as I wait expectantly.
