Finishing The Race

Lets allow ourselves
to be poured out

the good fight

keeping the faith
finishing the race

receiving our crowns
from Christ.

I can finish the race for You are with me.

“For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand.”

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

“Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”

2 Timothy 4:6,7,8 NKJV

Brought Back

I will bring you back
from your captivity

no longer will you
be bound

but filled
with My Spirit

and in My Presence

You establish an end to captivity.

” ‘When I have brought them back from the people’s and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and I am hallowed in them in the sight of many nations, then they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their own land, and left none of them captive any longer. And I will not hide My face from them any more; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel, ‘ says the Lord GOD.” Ezekiel 39:27,28,29 NKJV

A Cup

hard these days
to get enough fluid
in her

“For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is fully mixed and He pours it out. . .” Psalm 75:8 NKJV

Such a cup
did I pass
into the hands of
My Son

who knew the suffering
it beheld
but desired My will
be done.

Divided and Broken

“Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, ‘Take this and divide it among yourselves. . .'” Luke 22:17
“And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me’.” Luke 22:19

This has me thinking of when He divided the loaves and fishes to feed the 5,000. Now He is preparing to feed the whole world.

Oh Lord, please let me be willing to be poured out and broken for You as You were for me. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Go and prepare
a place for Me
where we can gather
for I’ll be divided
poured into each cup
broken, passed ’round
Bread filling you up.

Nothing Wasted

” . . .a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table.”  Matthew 26:7
“But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, ‘To what purpose is this waste?'”  Matthew 26:8
” . . .He said to them, ‘Why do you bother this woman?  For she has done a good work for Me.'”  Matthew 26:10

Nothing that we truly do for Jesus is wasted.

Oh Lord, we long to be extravagant in our love and worship of You today, allowing ourselves to be poured out on whoever You desire.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Poured Out For Him

We’re all fragrant oil
in  alabaster flasks
waiting to be poured out
whenever Jesus asks,
so valuable to Him
here upon this earth
for when we give of ourselves
others see His worth.
