As Aubrey’s mom and caregiver, her dreams morph into mine. Recently, two of her dreams are coming true. All it took was for me to voice them to others, risking possible rejection and getting laughed at. It has definitely been worth the risk!
Jesus, thank You for facing rejection, mocking and a cross as You voiced Your Father’s dreams for us.
Here’s a simple poem to help us dream big!
My (Bad) Would-Be Advice
Joseph, lay low. You
already have your father’s
ear and that fancy
coat . . .and ten crazy
jealous brothers.
Joseph, keep your dreams
to yourself. Play it safe,
and never be instrumental in
saving the children
of Israel.
“Now Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brothers and they hated him even more.” Genesis 37:5
