Stand In The Way

Come stand here
with Me

and be guided unto
the old paths

where the good
good way is

so your soul can rest
and laugh.

You establish my paths.

“Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls.” Jeremiah 6:16 NKJV

All The Paths

“All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth;
to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.”  Psalm 25:10

Each step I take further into Truth seems to require matching steps of His mercy.

Lord, thank You for not giving us “nothing but the truth”, but mercy too. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Beloved Paths

All the paths
of the Lord
are mercy
and truth
to those
who love Him
and are loved
by Him too.

Upheld

“Uphold my steps in Your paths,
That my footsteps may not slip.”  Psalm 17:5

He is always up to holding us and holding us up!

Lord, thank You for such a path as this that You set before us, well lit, secure and firm.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Path of Grace

When my steps
start to slide
set down in
a slippery place

there You are
to catch me up
and put me back
on Your path of grace.

Starting Points

“Now Moses wrote down these starting points of their journeys at the command of the Lord.” Numbers 33:2

Following this is a list of all the places the children of Israel started from and traveled to. It reminds me of all my journals/notebooks. Each one I pick up and look into reveals a different place I have been on my journey with Him.

Thank You, Lord, for recording Your journey of love for us, from the first word of Genesis to The Revelation’s last. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Our Journey

In order to make a journey
we must have a starting point
a place at which we decide
it’s time to move on from.

Then no matter the size of our steps
if they go sideways, even backwards too
we can always trace our life’s path
on its way home with You.

Golden Calves

“Come make us gods that shall go before us, for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”  Exodus 32:1

Moses was up the mountain and the people were camped out with nothing to do but wait.  And waiting wasn’t one of their strengths.

Lord, who knows what I might follow without Your Holy Spirit to guide me?  Thank You , Jesus!  Here’s a simple poem . . .

Paths

“New Road To Riches”
“Secrets To Success”
“Exercise and Meditate”
“Only Organic, Nothing Less” . . .

Many are the paths
spread around me today
but I can only walk down one
if You lead the way.
