I Am The Lord

I want to walk
in Your ways, Lord

I want to
understand

for Your word
is full of life

and all truth is in
Your hand.

**********

Lord, I desire to observe Your commands and walk in them.

**********

“You shall observe My judgements and keep My ordinances, to walk in them: I am the LORD your God.”

“You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgements, which if a man does, he shall live by them: I am the LORD.”

Leviticus 18:4-5. NKJV

Drawing Near

Oh Lord help me
hear Your voice

and receive Your
needed correction

trusting You alone
and drawing near

to the God of my
salvation.

**********

I can receive correction and obey You, for You are with me.

**********

“Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted, to the oppressing city! “

“She has not obeyed His voice, she has not received correction; she has not trusted in the LORD, she has not drawn near to her God.”

Zephaniah 3:1,2 NKJV

For Me?

“Say to all the people of the land, and to the priests:  ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months during those seventy years, did you really fast for Me – for Me?’ ”  Zechariah 7:5

Should you not have obeyed the words which the LORD proclaimed . . .”  Zechariah 7:7

I can get a little too caught up in what I’m doing.

Thank You, Lord, for helping me to listen and obey You today.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Is what you’re doing

really for Me

or is it

more for you?

Please stop and listen

hear My words

then obey

and follow through.

God bless you as you obey Him today!

So The People Believed

“And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk.  Then he cried out and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.”  Jonah 3:4 NKJV

“So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them.”  Jonah 3:5 NKJV

When Jonah finally preached, the reaction and results were both quick and positive.

Thank You, Father, for making a way for us to do what You ask us to.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

The enemy sends lies
and discouragement
tells me I’ll fail
that it’s too hard

but my Jesus says
“Listen to Me now,
I’ll take you through this
just obey and walk on.”

God bless you as you obey Him today!
