Who Is The Lord?

 

When you don’t
believe

you hurt yourself and
others too

by not listening to
My voice

and doing what’s best
for you.

Because You Obeyed

 

All the nations
of the earth

will be blessed
through you

for you did not
with hold from Me

but obeyed when I asked
you to.

You are with me and others are blessed when I obey Your voice.

Surrendering

 

Surrendering
to Me

to My will, My words
My ways

brings you
new life

and hope for all
your days.

You establish my surrender.

“If you surely surrender to the king of Babylon’s princes, then your soul shall live; this city shall not be burned with fire, and you and your house shall live. Please, obey the voice of the LORD which I speak to you. So it shall be well with you, and your soul shall live.” Jeremiah 38:17,20 NKJV

My Voice

 

 

I will make sure
you can hear Me

that you hunger
for what I say

eager
to follow Me

and know the good
of My ways.

You establish Your voice to me.

“Obey My voice, and do according to all that I command you ; so shall you be My people, and I will be your God, that I may establish the oath which I have sworn to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. For I earnestly exhorted your fathers in the day that  I brought them out of Egypt, until this day, rising early and exhorting , saying, ‘Obey My voice.'” Jeremiah 11:4,5,7 NKJV

“If you love me, you will obey what I command. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever. ” John 14:15,16

To Be Ready

“Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work,
to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.”   Titus 3:1-2

I am listening to this as the November elections draw near.

Lord, as we embrace this scripture for ourselves, we also pray it for those who will be leaders in our country.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

What Good?

What good will come
if we aren’t ready
