Who Is The Lord?

 

When you don’t
believe

you hurt yourself and
others too

by not listening to
My voice

and doing what’s best
for you.

Soft Hearts

 

Don’t refuse
to hear My words

and turn your hearts
to flint

but listen
to My commands

and surrender
to all of it.

Looking and Hearing

 

Let me hear with my ears
and look with my eyes
fixing my mind
on You

so I can listen
and I can see
all You want
me to.

You establish what I see and hear.

“And the man said to me, ‘Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears, and fix your mind on everything I show you; for you were brought here so that I might show them to you. Declare to the house of Israel everything you see.’ “. Ezekiel 40:4 NKJV

Listen

 

Listen, listen
carefully

remember
who I am

trust in Me
completely

and to fear
put an end.

You establish Your voice to me.

“Now it happened, when Jeremiah had stopped speaking to all the people all the words of the LORD their God, for which the LORD their God had sent him to them, all these words , then Azariah, the son of Hoshaiah, Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men spoke, saying to Jeremiah, ‘You speak falsely! The LORD our God has not sent you to say, ‘Do not go to Egypt to sojourn there!’ “. Jeremiah 43:1,2 NKJV

I Will Be Found

 

 

Pray and call
upon Me

I’m listening
as you do

for you will seek Me
with your heart

and I’ll gladly be found
by you.

You establish my seeking.

“Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:12,13 NKJV

A Way Out

 

Though destruction
be prophesied against you

it can yet
be changed

if you would
listen to Me

and do what
I say.

You establish a way out for me when I turn to You.

“Repent now everyone of his evil ways and his evil doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD has given to you and your fathers forever and ever.” Jeremiah 25:5 NKJV

A Hard Word

 

When there is
a hard word

that I bring
to you

listen
and receive it

do what you
must do.

You establish my ability to hear a hard word.

“Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death. He who remains in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence; but he who goes out and defects to the Chaldeans who besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be as a prize to him.” Jeremiah 21:8,9 NKJV

He Who Has An Ear

 

You listen
and hear
ready
to receive

for you’re
an overcomer
with faith
to believe.

Jesus establishes my hearing.

“He who has an ear let him hear what the Soirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” Revelation2:17 NKJV

Walk

 

taking steps
to familiar places
joy

“Oh that My people would listen to Me, that Israel would walk in My ways! I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn My hand against their adversaries.” Psalm 81:13-14 NKJV

Listen
to Me
and walk
in My ways

see your
enemies subdued
and your adversaries
dismayed.
