Arise and Shine

Arise and shine
for I have come
to awaken you
to what’s true

from the darkness
into My light
glory covers
all I do.

You establish my glory.

“Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth. And deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.” Isaiah 60:1,2 NKJV

Your Light Will Dawn

You will be a light
in the darkness
that I guide
continually

an offering to
the poor
and for the
afflicted’s needs.

My guidance is established by You.

“If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday. The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.” Isaiah 58:9,10,11 NKJV

In Darkness

When you walk into
the darkness

where there is
no light

trust in My name
you’re not forsaken

rely on My
power and might.

I am secure even in times of darkness.

“Is My hand shortened at all that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Who among you fears the LORD? Who obeys the voice of His servant? Who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD and rely upon His God.” Isaiah 50:2,10 NKJV

Inscribed

I’ve been given as
a covenant to you

even to the ends
of the earth

and your name’s inscribed
on My hands

that you may never
doubt your worth.

My name is accepted because of You, Jesus. ( One of the definitions of establish is to cause to be accepted .)

“I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, that You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth . I will preserve You and give You as a covenant to the people . . .that You may say to the prisoners, ‘Go forth, ‘ to those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves.’ Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people, and will have mercy on His afflicted. Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands . . .” Isaiah 49:6,8,9,13,15,16. NKJV

New Things

A bruised reed
I will not break

the blind
I will not leave

I will make
the darkness light

new things for you
to see.

Jesus establishes new things for me.

“A bruised reed He will not break. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them. I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them.” Isaiah 42:3,9,16 NKJV

We Shall Walk

Come and I
will teach you

to walk in
My light and ways

to stay humble
and bowed down

exalting Me
throughout your days.

Jesus establishes my walk with Him.

“Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths. O house of Jacob , come and let us walk in the light of the LORD. For the day of the LORD of hosts shall come upon everything proud and lofty, upon everything lifted up – and it shall be brought low- . . .The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of man shall be brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day . . .” Isaiah 2:3,5,12,17 NKJV

Illuminated

You illuminate
my heart and mind

clearing away
the haze

so glorifying You
becomes the joy

of all
my days.

Jesus establishes my illumination.

“. . . for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.” Revelation 21:23 NKJV

Open Gates

I shall be the temple
of New Jerusalem

and it’s only
source of light

the gates open
day after day

for there will be
no night.

Jesus establishes the final temple.

“But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. It’s gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. “. The Consolation

The Consolation of Israel
has come

salvation for
everyone

the Glory of
Your people

pure Light of
revelation.

A laid down life sees Jesus.

“And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: ‘Lord now You are letting your servant depart in peace according to Your word, for my eyes have seen Your salvation which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the Glory of Your people Israel. ‘” Luke 2:25,27,28,29,40,31,32 NKJV

Light Giver

I give light to you
in the darkness
when you’re bullied by death’s
shadow

My tender mercy
guiding your feet
onto the path where peace
ever flows.

A laid down life has light in the darkness.

“For you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways. . .To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” Luke 1:76,79 NKJV
