Grab Ahold

I love it when
you reach out

and in faith
grab ahold

believing Me
instead of

the lies
you’ve been told.

You establish my faith to believe.

“And He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction.’ While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, ‘Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further.’ As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, ‘Do not be afraid; only believe.’ ” Mark 5:34,35,36 NKJV

He Has Done It

I am not silent
when they accuse
and speak lies
to condemn you

for My mercy says
“you’re already saved”
and all will see
of what you’re made.

A laid down life is safe from condemnation.

“Do not keep silent, O God of my praise! They have spoken against me with a lying tongue. They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, but I give myself to prayer. Help me, O LORD my God! Oh, save me according to Your mercy, that they may know that this is Your hand – that You, Lord, have done it!” Psalm 109:1,2,3,4,26,27 NKJV

Lies can be wiped away with God’s truth.

“So Jesus answered and said to him, ‘What do you want Me to do for you?’ The blind man said to Him, ‘Ra-bo’ni, that I may receive my sight .’  Then Jesus said to him, ‘Go your way; your faith has made you well.’ And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.” Mark 10:51-52 NKJV

Cheerfully Answering

source - Wikipedia

source – Wikipedia

“For we have found this man a plague, a creator of dissension among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ring leader of the sect of the Nazarenes.”  Acts 24:5 NKJV
“He even tried to profane the temple, and we seized him, and wanted to judge him according to our law.”  Acts 24:6 NKJV

After this, Paul cheerfully answered for himself, unafraid of their lies. (Acts 24:10-21)

Thank You, Lord, for being our Judge so that we need not fear lies and accusations made against us.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

The Judge we
come before

has known us
all our years

and no lie
or weapon formed

shall stand up –
we need not fear.

God  bless you as you cheerfully come before Him today!

Answering Nothing

“Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, ‘Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You?”  Mark 15:4

“But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled.” Mark 15:5

Lies and accusations can steal our peace, time and energy.

Thank You, Lord, for being the truth we can respond to. And here’s a simple poem . . .

So many lies and accusations

are spoken and inferred

but I don’t have to worry

or give back a single word

for I have a Good Shepherd

who speaks Truth to me each day

to Him I will respond

listen and obey.

God bless you as He speaks Truth to you today!

Inventing

“Then I sent to him, saying, ‘No such things as you say are being done, but you invent them in your own heart.”

“For they all were trying to make us afraid, saying, ‘Their hands will be weakened in the work and it will not be done.’  Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.”  Nehemiah 6:8-9

Good inventing blesses us and makes us wish we’d thought of it.

Lord, we pray for hearts and minds that You can use for the good of others.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Strengthened

Lies are told
and schemes are laid
in order to
make us afraid

and weaken the
work of our hands
but God’s our strength
in Him we stand.

Even The Spirit Of Truth

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever,
even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him, but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
I will not leave you orphans, I will come to you.” John 14:16-18

We are constantly accosted by lies.

Father, please so fill us with the Holy Spirit that the lies of the enemy fall off us and do not stick. And here’s a simple poem . . .

No Lie

He has promised us the Helper
even the Spirit of truth

to abide in us forever
to show us what to do

He will not abandon us
nor leave us all alone

for He’s the great Comforter
who makes our hearts His home.

Inside Israel – With Thanksgiving

Hi all! So glad you have stopped by to read today’s Inside Israel. J of Jerusalem shares some things that she is thankful for and one of them is YOU! I’m with her in that! And here’s J . . .

“In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus (Meshiach Yeshua) concerning you.”
1 Thes 5:18

How blessed are my friends in America and Canada to have days set apart for public and private Thanksgiving to God! Perhaps each country has a holiday of this sort? I don’t know. But we know that we each KNOW that this IS God’s will for us: to give thanks!

American Thanksgiving is one holiday that I do miss. I remember my first public thanksgiving service in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Calif, back in the 70s, when all of the fellowships came together in with a public meeting full of testimony and thanksgiving, praise and worship. I thought I would bust open with thankfulness.

I am thankful for each of you. You are His body, His temple, and you glorify Him and I am encouraged by you so very often. It is His gift to me, and I am thankful.

I have not been able to write for the past month as the country goes through turmoil…seemingly never ending. This past Thurs the rabbis called a day of fasting, prayer and repentance for rain as we are entering the 8th year of severe drought. In 10 days there will be another day set aside for this. Our country is being tempted (bribed? will we be bought??) by the US administration to institute another 90 day construction freeze in Judea and Samaria which is threatening to rip the country to pieces emotionally and politically. I read yesterday in Isa 30 AND 31 “Woe to those who go down to Egypt…” for strength, weapons, help against the enemy…instead of consulting GOD our shield! And I tremble, for that is what we are being tempted to do…and what almost half the country wants…to trust in the waning strength of America instead of the Eternal Strength of God. Our lack of rain speaks volumes to us…are we listening?

My husband and I just finished reading Voice of Hope by George Otis, written in the early 80s about the work that was done in N. Israel and S. Lebanon in the mid 70s to early 80s. It was very sobering to recall the historical events of the time (if not edifying to have a time to read of His work with my husband!!). The book records accurately the atrocities of the PLO and their roots and history…It was good to remember what was done and where they came from…the history, when all around us the incitement and delegitimization of Israel is taking place at a shocking rate in the media and world governments and agencies. Blatant lies are reported so often, repeated over and over as if they were fact, that I become confused…”is this TRUE?” Lying is a very effective tool. Keep repeating a lie over and over, convincingly and you are able to turn Truth upside down. It can happen in the body as well. Yes, we MUST know Him and His Word so well, that we can’t be fooled by lies or errors. And our FAITH and meekness must be so real and grounded in Him that when we are foolishly deceived, He is able to turn us in His mercy.

For those of you who do keep up with the news here and pray for Israel, THANK YOU! THANK YOU FOR HOLDING US BEFORE HIS THRONE FOR THE FULFILLMENT OF HIS PROMISES!

For those of you who hold our family up in prayer, THANK YOU! Our family continues to be tossed and turned, with particular prayer needed right now for our older daughter and their family…and our 7 year old Grandson. I take courage in the exhortation in Isa “Worship Him in the midst of the fires”. My husband is still in the rehabilitation hospital. Tomorrow is a month since his accident. I am weary, but take with joy the exhortation that I began with: “In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus (Meshiach Yeshua) concerning you.”

May HE be glorified at each of your Thanksgiving celebrations. And to my many friends in other countries that don’t celebrate Thanksgiving this week, may your heart also be blessed in giving of Thanks to Him Who alone is worthy.
