Gaining More Time

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life. . .”  Matthew 6:24

Not worrying about my life would definitely free up more time for me . . .to spend with Jesus.

Jesus, thank You for always covering me, keeping me and feeding me each day as I come to You.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Fed and Covered

If birds don’t worry about what to eat
then really why should I?
And all nature’s dressed so great
without wondering what to buy.

Assured You love me as much as this
and then again even more,
I can let go of these concerns
spending more time at heaven’s door.

Let My People Go

Israel is a tiny nation surrounded by neighbors who’d like nothing more than to annihilate her.  One form of attack used is propaganda.  Much like during WWII and the Holocaust.

Lord, we lift up Your people Israel, standing with them in love and prayers.  Please reveal Yourself to those who wait to see you.

Here’s a simple poem to encourage us to remember those who God remembers!

My Remnant

Like heads of grain
in the Valley of Rephraim
so shall My remnant be.

Like gleaning grapes glistening
in clear heat listening
so shall My remnant be.

Like two or three olives high in the tree
like four or five on a lower branch be
remains a people, hungry for Me
waiting and watching, longing to see

So shall my remnant be.

“Thus says the Lord, ‘Israel is My son, My firstborn.'”  Exodus 4:22

Walking Away With Jesus

Leaving my job of 19 years was scary and freeing, all at the same time.  What I didn’t expect were all the blessings my co-workers sent with me as I went!

Jesus, thank You for the wonderful way You bless us each time we step away with You.

Here’s a simple poem to encourage us to go with God.

Godly Plunder

Come, My children
and let Me lead you
away from
what you know
and I will give you
blessing and favor
to take with you
as you go.

“And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be when you go, that you shall not go empty-handed.”  Exodus 3:21

Making A Way

“I have stretched out My hands all day long. . .”  Isaiah 65:2

Letting Go Of Heaven

I’m putting aside my title
“Lord of Lords, King of Kings”
comin’ as a baby,
doing baby things.
No Wonderful- Counselor right now
gonna build with my hands,
makin’ a bridge to Father
for every sort of man.

p.s. Happy Mother’s Day everyone!
