Genuineness Of Faith

 

We greatly rejoice
in all that still

waits ahead
for us

even while now
we’re grieved by trials

our faith glorifies
Jesus.

For His Name

 

With power
according to the Spirit

by His resurrection
from the grave

we receive grace
for obedience

to the faith and honor
of His name.

You are with me and give me grace to obey.

Your Works Are Truth

 

All honor and glory
to You, O Lord

whose works
are always truth

Your dominion is pure
Your ways are justice

and all pride
You will undo.

You establish Your rule and dominion .

“Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways are justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to abase.” Daniel 4:37 NKJV

All Blessing

 

All blessing and honor
and glory and power
be to the Lamb
who was slain

all riches and wisdom
thanksgiving forever
to His great and
wonderful name.

Jesus establishes all my blessings.

“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 7:12 NKJV

Clothed

 

I shall clothe you
with strength and honor
and when you open
your mouth

it will be in wisdom
and on your tongue
the law of kindness
will come out.

A laid down life is clothed with strength and honor from God.

“Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.” Proverbs 31:25,26 NKJV

Wanting More (For Others)

“So Haman came in, and the king asked him, ‘What shall be done for the man whom the king delights to honor?’  Now Haman thought in his heart, ‘Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?’ ”  Esther 6:6

When I was a new born believer, struggling with “self” confidence and low “self” esteem, God told me three little words . . .”Think of others.”

Lord, help us to want for others more than we want for ourselves.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Found Wanting

“Who could the king want
to honor more than me?”

set Haman up
for a catastrophe

but, “who could I want
great things for today?”

delights the King
and so I pray.

Kept Back From Honor

” Now therefore flee to your place. I said I would greatly honor you, but in fact, the Lord has kept you back from honor.” Numbers 24:11

Balak was so upset in the above verse, when Balaam couldn’t curse Israel. Balaam could only speak the words the Lord put in his mouth.

Oh Lord, please keep me back from honor today if it would in anyway dishonor You. And here’s a simple poem . . .

To Honor You

Oh let me fill my days
with all the ways
there are to
honor You –
to pray and praise
Your wonderful name
giving glory to
all You do.
