Build Your House

Blessed are you
as you build your home
with love
and understanding

for your family always
finds peace there
and shelter from
the world’s clamoring.

A laid down life makes their house a home.

“Every wise woman builds her house , but the foolish pulls it down with her hands.” Proverbs 14:1 NKJV

Known

home
away from home
well known

As we travel back and forth between houses, I call each “home”.

“In Judah God is known; His name is great in Israel. In Salem also is His tabernacle, and His dwelling place in Zion.” Psalm 76:1-2. NKJV

I am here
to know you
and to be
known

for you’ve become
My dwelling place
your heart is now
My home.

Finding A Place

” LORD,  remember David
And all his afflictions;
How he swore to the LORD,
And vowed to the Mighty God of Jacob;
‘Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house;
Or go up to the comfort of my bed;
I will not give sleep to my eyes
Or slumber to my eyelids,
Until I find a place for the LORD,
A dwelling place for the Mighty God of Jacob’.”  Psalm 132:1-5

David had such a heart for God.

Lord, let me not close my eyes to Your desire to dwell in the hearts of many yet.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

My Home

I am looking
for a place
that I can call
My own.

Won’t you open
up your hearts
and let Me make
them My home?

My Bone and My Flesh

“You are my brethren, you are my bone and my flesh.  Why then are you the last to bring back the king?”  2 Samuel 19:12

David found himself a king without a home.

Thank You, Lord, for wearing flesh and bone, for being a king that walks among us.  And here is a simple poem . . .

A King For Us

Of our flesh
and of our bone
this King came down
from His throne
appealing to
the common man
to desire His Lordship
over them.
