I Am The Lord

 

I want to walk
in Your ways, Lord

I want to
understand

for Your word
is full of life

and all truth is in
Your hand.

Sounding Forth

 

The word of the Lord
rings clear from us

our faith goes
everywhere

as we turn to Him
from idols

serving God with love
and prayer.

Your word sounds forth from me for You are with me.

My Words Do Good

 

Your word always
always does good

Your judgements
are forever true

it is not You who
antagonize us

but we in deep
deep need of You.

Abide In My Word

 

As we abide
in His word

His disciples we
will be

and we will know
the truth

and the truth will set
us free.

You establish Your word and truth for me to abide in.

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, ‘If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’ “. John 8:31,32 NKJV

To Whom Shall We Go

 

There is no where else
I want to go
but to You, Lord

for only You
can give to me
the bread of life.

The words You speak
are exactly what
I need to hear, Lord

You are the Son
of the Living God
the Holy Christ.

You establish what I need . . .You.

” ‘I am the bread of life.’ Then Jesus said to the twelve, ‘Do you also want to go away?’ But Simon Peter answered Him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ ” John 6:48,67,68,69 NKJV

The Word

 

The word
I speak
must surely
be done

believe it
receive it
trust Me now
and come.

You establish what You speak.

” ‘None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done, ‘ says the Lord GOD.” Ezekiel 12:28 NKJV

Not Forsaken

 

I have not
forsaken you

and I can
surely see

for I am
God Almighty

you can trust
in Me.

You establish my security.

“Then He said to me, ‘The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of bloodshed, and the city full of perversity, for they say, ‘The LORD has forsaken the land, and the LOrD does not see!’ “. Ezekiel 9:9 NKJV

and I’ll reveal
the meaning of

you’ve heard.

You establish the meaning of Your word to me.

” ‘Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee. . .’ And they remembered His words. And He opened their understanding that they might comprehend the Scriptures.” Luke 24:6,8,45 NKJV

Say The Word

 

Each time
I speak to you

My words are sent
to heal

to grow a faith
in you that’s great

and a knowledge that
is real.

You establish my faith.

” ‘ But say the word and my servant will be healed.’ When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him, ‘I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel.’ “. Luke 7:7,9 NKJV

Being Tempted

 

I will fill you with
the Holy Spirit

and the truth of
My word

for when the devil
tempts you

and twists all that
you’ve heard.

You establish a way out of temptation.

“Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.” Luke 4:1,2,13 NKJV
