Trusting In His Name

 

I shall leave a meek
and humble remnant

who trust
in My name

who can only
speak the truth

and of no one
be afraid.

Part 2: Trusting In His Name

I asked God about her. About me taking care of her. He says, “She needs someone to count on. She needs activities to count on.” Then He says, “You can count on me and what I give you to do. You shall trust in the name of the Lord.”

The Name of Jesus

 

You shall know Me
by My name

intimate
and pure

for I am He
who speaks to you

all that’s true
and sure.

Jesus establishes His name to me.

“Therefore My people shall know My name; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks: ‘Behold, it is I.’ ” Isaiah 52:6 NKJV

Fragrant Love

 

My name is
a poured forth
ointment
covering all of you

a fragrant oil
is My love
that fills you
through and through.

A laid down life has His love poured out on it.

“Your love is better than wine. Because of the fragrance of your good ointments, your name is ointment poured forth.” Song of Solomon 1:2,3 NKJV

Escape

 

When you are feeling
overwhelmed
and about to be
swallowed up

remember to call
upon My name
for nothing can
separate us.

A laid down life has a sure escape.

“If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, then they would have swallowed us alive, then the waters would have overwhelmed us. Blessed be the LORD. Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowler; the snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 124:1,3,4,6,7,8 NKJV

Blessed

“His name shall endure forever; His name shall continue as long as the sun. And men shall be blessed in Him; all nations shall call Him blessed.” Psalm 72:17 NKJV

My name endures
forever
longer than
the sun

and blessed shall
you be in Me
as in you My will
is done.

Blessed To Believe

 

 

“Jesus said to him, ‘Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed.  Blessed are those who have not seen, and yet have believed.'” John 20:29  NKJV

“And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 

but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.”  John 20:30-31  NKJV

Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to be with Jesus like His disciples were.

Thank You, Lord, for blessing each one who hears and believes.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

These things are written
that we may believe

that Jesus is
the Christ

for blessed are those
who not seeing, believe

and in His name
have life.

Awesome

“Holy and awesome is His name.”  Psalm 111:9

As her seven children all used the word ‘awesome’ frequently, a wise mom from our prayer group showed them that ‘awesome’ originated with God.

Lord, we rejoice that You are the definition of awesome!  And here’s a simple poem . . .

my heart , mind and soul
are instantly changed.

His Name

“So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.” Numbers 6:27
