For I Am Gracious

 

I am gracious
I am good

and I hear
your cries

so there’s no need
to take from others

trust Me to
provide.

Drawing Near

 

Oh Lord help me
hear Your voice

and receive Your
needed correction

trusting You alone
and drawing near

to the God of my
salvation.

Looking and Hearing

 

Let me hear with my ears
and look with my eyes
fixing my mind
on You

so I can listen
and I can see
all You want
me to.

You establish what I see and hear.

“And the man said to me, ‘Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears, and fix your mind on everything I show you; for you were brought here so that I might show them to you. Declare to the house of Israel everything you see.’ “. Ezekiel 40:4 NKJV

Receive

 

I will give you
all you need

to do what I call
you to

no matter how
it is received

remember I’m still
with you.

You establish the outcome.

“Moreover He said to me: ‘Son of man, receive into your heart all My words th at I spoke to you, and hear with your ears. And go, get to the captives, to the children of your people, and speak to them and tell them, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ whether they hear or whether they refuse.’ ” Ezekiel 3:10,11 NKJV

All Set

 

My Spirit
will enter into you

each time
I speak

opening
up your ears

setting you on
your feet.

You establish my feet beneath me.

“Then the Spirit entered me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard Him who spoke to me.” Ezekiel 2:2 NKJV

My Voice

 

 

I will make sure
you can hear Me

that you hunger
for what I say

eager
to follow Me

and know the good
of My ways.

You establish Your voice to me.

“Obey My voice, and do according to all that I command you ; so shall you be My people, and I will be your God, that I may establish the oath which I have sworn to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. For I earnestly exhorted your fathers in the day that  I brought them out of Egypt, until this day, rising early and exhorting , saying, ‘Obey My voice.'” Jeremiah 11:4,5,7 NKJV

“If you love me, you will obey what I command. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever. ” John 14:15,16

I Create

 

I create
all things new
and the former won’t
come to mind

as before you even
call to me
I’ll answer
loving kind.

You establish “new” in my life.

” For behold , I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:17,24 NKJV

To Profit

 

From the beginning
I have spoken

so that
you can hear

Me teach you
how to profit

and guide you
ever near.

My profit is established in You.

“Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, I  was there. And now the Lord GOD and His Spirit have sent Me. Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.” Isaiah 48:16,17 NKJV

Entering

 

Today when you
hear My voice
you can trust
what I say

entering
into My rest
blessed to know
My ways.

A laid down life’s heart is softened by God’s voice.

“Today , if you will hear His voice: ‘Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion. For forty years I was grieved with that generation, and said’, “It is a people who go astray in their hearts, and they do not know My ways”. . .”they shall not enter My rest.” Psalm 95:7,8,10,11 NKJV

The Word of God

I don’t think this is just about memorizing.

Thank You, Lord, for Your Word that keeps and covers us.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

How blessed are we
to hear

the Holy Word
of God

sweet oxygen
in our lungs

we carry forth
His love.
