God Hears

 

I hear
and remember

I have not
forgot

all the promises
I’ve made

the covenant I’ve
begot.

The One who hears and remembers is with me.

Soft Hearts

 

Don’t refuse
to hear My words

and turn your hearts
to flint

but listen
to My commands

and surrender
to all of it.

I can listen to Your words for You are with me.

“But they refused to heed, shrugged their shoulders, and stopped their ears so that they could not hear.”

“Yes, they made their hearts like flint, refusing to hear the law and the words which the LORD of hosts had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets.”

Hear And See

 

It is up to me
to receive, believe

no one else
can do it for me

so I pray
my eyes to see

and my ears to hear
continually .

Rightly

 

For this reason
it is You came

to bear witness
of the truth

as rightly so
they called You King

and all who hear
follow You.

You establish a witness to the truth.

“Jesus answered, ‘You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.’ ” John 18:37 NKJV

Pray

 

Pray and
do not lose heart

for I hear
your cries

and will answer
in the right way

at just
the right times.

You establish my prayers.

“Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.” Luke 18:1 NKJV

Draw Near

 

I will draw you
close to Me

as near as you
can be

for that’s the
very best place

for you to hear
from Me.

You establish my nearness to You.

“Then all the tax collectors and sinners drew near to Him to hear Him.” Luke 15:1 NKJV

U Turn

 

Bend your life
into the shape
of
a u-turn

each time you set
yourself against
the truth
of My word.

You establish my ability to turn to You.

“But they did not listen or incline their ear to turn from their wickedness to burn no incense to other gods.” Jeremiah 44:5 NKJV
