Grab Ahold

I love it when
you reach out

and in faith
grab ahold

believing Me
instead of

the lies
you’ve been told.

You establish my faith to believe.

“And He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction.’ While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, ‘Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further.’ As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, ‘Do not be afraid; only believe.’ ” Mark 5:34,35,36 NKJV

Then They Cried Out

When you cry out
in your troubles
and I come
to your rescue

what once was
distressing
will have no power
over you.

A laid down life is delivered out of its distresses.

“Then they cried out to the LORD in their troubles and He delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right way. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke their chains in pieces. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” Psalm 107:6,7,14,20 NKJV

Lying There

“When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, ‘Do you want to be made well’?” John 5:6

I’ve been here at this question for several days. In tears.

Jesus, thank You for asking us the questions no one else knows to ask. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Pool Side

By my pool
of Bethesda
the waters stir
I don’t jump in.
Am I waiting
to be carried
or to be healed
by only Him?

Permit Even This

“When those around Him saw what was going to happen, they said to Him, ‘Lord, shall we strike with the sword?'” Luke 22:49
“And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear.” Luke 22:50
“But Jesus answered and said, ‘Permit even this.’ And He touched his ear and healed him.” Luke 22:51

When we receive a driving permit, there are restrictions and limitations with it . . .for the good of all.

Thank You, Father, for all You permitted Your Son to go through, for the good of all. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Jesus Did

Permit even this
– unseemly situation
– act of indiscretion
– lack of respect
Allow
– feelings to be mishandled
– pride to be pulverized
– stares to occur
For the greater good
because Jesus would
– and did.
