One Father

 

Let us glorify
You Lord

and Your
Holy name

by loving
one another

remembering from Whom
we came.

In Your Hand

 

You hold my breath
in Your hand

and own
all my ways

and I will give
You glory

each
and every day.

You establish who receives glory.

“And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not hear or see or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all of your ways, you have not glorified.” Daniel 5:23 NKJV

Glorifying God

 

We can
follow Him
even
unto death

knowing we
glorify Him
with each
loving kindness.

Got Breath?

“Let everything that has breath
praise the LORD.”  Psalm 150:6

It we do this, we’ll never have to worry about wasting our breath.  😀

Lord, let me not waste the breath that You gave me to praise You with.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Your Great Name

“O Lord, what shall I say when Israel turns its back before its enemies?” Joshua 7:8
“For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear of it, and surround us, and cut off our name from the earth. Then what will You do for Your great name?” Joshua 7:9

Joshua’s statement brings the saying, “it’s not about me” to mind.

Lord, we desire to glorify You today, and thank You for Jesus through Whom our sins are forgiven, and the Holy Spirit, Who indwells and guides us . . .for the sake of Your great name. And here’s a simple poem . . .

For Your Sake

Oh let us be willing
for the sake of Your great name
to lay aside the things of the world
and joyfully proclaim
that You alone are mighty
that only You can save
and so we stand in awe and wonder
at the glory of Your name.
