Leaving Behind

Leave behind the weight
of your possessions

the burden of what
loved ones think

follow Me
and enter into

the kingdom life
and all it brings.

You establish who I follow.

“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundred fold, and inherit eternal life.” Matthew 19:29 NKJV

Desiring New Wine

“And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is better.’ ”  Luke 5:39  NKJV

I had to bottom out on the old before I could see I needed the new.

Thank You, Lord, for filling us with new life.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

No one immediately
desires new

for we think
the old is better

but after a time
we will surely

forsake all
to follow the Master.

God bless all the new He brings to your life.

Looking For Jesus

footprintsinsand

“When they found Him, they said to Him, ‘Everyone is looking for You.’ ”  Mark 1:37

Those looking for Jesus would have to follow Him to the next town.

Thank You, Lord, for coming for everyone, not just a few.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

If I am looking
for You, Lord

I can always
begin

by following
Your grace steps

to where mercy’s miracles
never end.

God bless you as you follow Jesus today!

Inquiring of Him

“I will cut off every trace of Baal from this place  . . .” Zephaniah 1:4 NKJV

“. . .Those who have turned back from following the Lord,
And have not sought the Lord, nor inquired of Him.”  Zephaniah 1:6 NKJV

God doesn’t get annoyed that we need Him.

Thank You, Lord, for desiring that we seek You all the time.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Turn to Me
and seek Me

all day long
and through the night

you can’t inquire
of Me too often

you are My child
in whom I delight.

God bless you as you turn to Him today!
